No corrosion for DalstrahiemNovember 2011 – The ‘Dalstrahiem’ housing and shopping complex was recently completed in the centre of Surhuisterveen. The complex comprises 39 flats, a range of commercial accommodation and an underground car park. To prevent corrosion, the steel French balconies, gallery fencing and railings in the complex were treated using the Duplex Route: hot-dip galvanising by Verzinkerij Wolvega, followed by powder coating at Poedercoating Wolvega. The small steel parts were centrifuge-galvanised by Centrizink Wolvega. The flat building comprises 39 flats on three stories. All the flats have a terrace. Some of them also have a balcony or outside area at the front of the building. Commercial units have been included on the ground floor. The underground car park includes an individual parking bay and storage area for each flat. The French balconies, gallery fencing and railings for the flats were produced by the construction and technical engineering company K. Stok & Zn. from St. Annaparochie. To prevent corrosion, they were treated with the Duplex Route: galvanising by Verzinkerij Wolvega and powder coating from Poedercoating Wolvega. |
